Job summary

Bunge in Decatur, Indiana is seeking a Refined Oil Relief Operator to safely run the degumming, refining and utility processes in the Refined Oil Department. This position covers vacations on all shifts and requires willingness to work weekends, holidays, and 2nd/3rd shifts.

You will perform daily walk-throughs, pull samples, load and unload tankers, monitor equipment readings, and maintain safe food practices while coordinating with operators and maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• Basic computer and mechanical skills are required.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work 2nd/3rd shift and weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily walk throughs to check equipment and tank levels.

• Operate production equipment to fill containers and check oil flow.

A Day in the Life:

This position is located in the Bunge North America soybean processing plant in Decatur, IN. The Refined Oil Relief Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the degumming, refining and utility processes in the Refined Oil Department. Candidates must actively participate in Bunge's Employee Safety Policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees.

Position Details:

This position covers other operator's vacation on all shifts. Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Hourly pay rate: $32.30

What You'll Be Doing:

• Complete daily walk throughs to check equipment and tank levels
• Pull samples and check filters
• Load and unload tankers
• Operate production equipment to fill containers, blow filters out, check oil flow
• Report any concerns with safe food practices
• Monitor and document equipment readings
• Process paperwork per department procedures
• Communicate process and equipment deficiencies with other operators, maintenance personnel and supervisors
• Perform department sanitation duties
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an industrial environment
