Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is offering a part-time chemical engineering internship across multiple locations including Findlay and Canton, Ohio. Interns will gain exposure to refinery processes, collaborate with engineering teams, and develop presentation and analytical skills in a professional setting.

The program supports spring, summer, and fall terms with opportunities in process/technical services, operations research, environmental, and products control roles.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be majoring in Chemical Engineering.
• Strong academic performance.
• Authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Positions available spring, summer, and fall semesters.
• Availability for multiple work terms preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Concurrent enrollment in a degree seeking program.
• Military experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with process equipment fundamentals and best practices in a Marathon refinery.
• Work with a team of professionals running a portion of the refining process.
• Expand written and verbal presentation skills in a professional environment.
• Assist in projects in various roles such as Process/Technical Service, Operations Research, Environmental, and Economics.
• Support development of tests, process improvements, and refinery operations optimization.
