Job summary

Delek US Holdings in Big Spring, TX is seeking a dynamic leader to enhance profitability at the Big Spring Refinery. You’ll drive refining optimization, feedstock selection, product placement, and detailed planning and scheduling of refinery operations.

The role emphasizes monthly and weekly operating plans, target setting, budgeting, and collaboration with corporate optimization, schedulers, and traders to maximize value and drive capital project evaluations.

Qualifications

• 4 year / Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• Two (2) or more years Management experience (Required)
• Eight (8) or more years Process engineering, planning related experience in refining industry (Required)
• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan and optimize monthly operating plans and targets for profitability
• Oversee refinery budgets and contribute to capital project evaluations
• Lead refinery planning and economics with corporate optimization and schedulers
• Coordinate with operations, technical services, and traders to maximize margin
• Analyze deviations from the monthly operating plan and implement corrective actions
• Evaluate economic feasibility of projects and assist in economic evaluation
• Ensure compliance with operating plans and daily plant analyses
• Collaborate across teams to drive performance and continuous improvement
