Qualifications

• Candidates must be majoring in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong academic performance
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Positions are available spring, summer, and fall semesters
• Availability for multiple work terms is preferred
• A valid driver's license is required
• Concurrent enrollment in a degree seeking program
• Military experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with industry codes and best practices while supporting refinery operations and teamwork.
• Gain understanding of how engineering disciplines work together in a refinery environment.
• Work on areas of the refinery to develop broad understanding of plant operation and improve written and verbal presentation skills.
• Participate in project management oriented tracks such as Area Refining Engineer/Project Engineer and Reliability Engineer roles.
• Support maintenance, design improvements, and troubleshooting within refinery equipment and processes.
