Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking mechanical engineering interns at our Findlay, Ohio refinery to gain hands-on experience in project management, design, and construction within a busy refinery environment.

You will work with a team of professionals across areas like area refining engineering, project engineering, and reliability engineering, while developing your technical and communication skills in a real-world setting.

Qualifications

• Majoring in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• Strong academic performance.
• Authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without visa sponsorship.
• Positions available spring, summer, and fall semesters.
• Availability for multiple work terms is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project management, design effort, and construction oversight for refinery projects.
• Support reliability and maintenance initiatives to improve equipment performance and run times.
• Develop written and verbal communication skills within a professional engineering team.
