Job summary

PTS Advance is seeking a Safety Coordinator / Field Safety Representative at a refinery site. This contract-to-hire role requires a strong field presence, good judgment, and collaboration with operations and maintenance personnel to promote safe work practices.

The ideal candidate has refinery experience, understands permitting for high-hazard activities, and is eager to learn client-specific processes. Training on site procedures will be provided.

Qualifications

• Strong field presence and ability to communicate with operations and contractor personnel.
• Solid understanding of refinery safety practices and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with refinery permitting processes and high-hazard work activities.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.

Responsibilities

• Review, issue, and manage work permits for refinery activities.
• Perform field audits and safety inspections.
• Conduct permit reviews and sign-offs for high-hazard work (e.g., confined space entry, critical lifts).
• Ensure work complies with site safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and contractors to promote safe work practices.
• Participate in safety observations and provide field support as needed.
