Job summary

CITGO seeks an electrical engineer to design and support refinery electrical systems, troubleshoot complex equipment, and oversee maintenance projects and installations. You will review system studies, maintain standards, and contribute to capital projects, turnarounds, and RCIs.

The role requires a bachelor’s in electrical engineering with 2+ years of experience (8+ preferred), strong communication, and proficiency in SAP. On-site work in a heavy industrial refinery environment is expected.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline and at least two years of related engineering experience are required; eight or more years preferred.
• Candidates should be able to manage projects, communicate effectively, use common office software and SAP, hold a valid driver's license, and be able to obtain a TWIC.
• Refinery or heavy industrial experience and familiarity with high-voltage equipment are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and support refinery electrical systems and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
• Oversee maintenance projects and electrical installations.
• Review system studies and project designs, maintain electrical documentation and standards.
• Contribute electrical expertise to capital projects, turnarounds, and root cause investigations.
