Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP is seeking Electrical Engineering interns for spring, summer, and fall terms at multiple refinery locations. You will gain exposure to E&I projects, reliability engineering, and process control systems while developing project management and presentation skills.

The program emphasizes hands‑on experience, teamwork, and professional growth with access to a broad range of industry tools and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be majoring in Electrical Engineering
• Strong academic performance
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full‑time indefinite basis without visa sponsorship
• Positions are available spring, summer, and fall semesters
• Availability for multiple work terms is preferred
• A valid driver’s license is required
• Military experience is a plus
• MIN - $32.92 per hour / MAX - $41.67 per hour

Responsibilities

• Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Project Engineers work on real‑world projects and develop project management skills.
• Reliability E&I Engineers troubleshoot issues, analyze failures, and learn SIS applications.
• Process Control Engineers support real‑time control systems and monitor performance gains.
