Cano Health LLC is hiring a Referral Coordinator in Lemon Creek, Alaska, responsible for managing referrals, scheduling consultations, and maintaining a professional service environment for patients. This role demands proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with insurance portals. The position involves clerical support, communication with patients, and ensuring smooth referral processes.
The Referral Coordinator supports the clinical unit with clerical activities, coordinating all external and some internal services. The coordinator schedules consultations, diagnostic testing and surgical procedures, inputs referrals and authorizations into a data bank, and coordinates follow‑up care with referral physicians as approved by a Physician Associate. The coordinator also maintains a pleasant and professional service environment for patients.

This position works under usual office conditions. The employee is required to work at a personal computer and be on the phone for extended periods. Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours, including weekends, and lift up to 50 lbs. Work will involve some driving/traveling to assigned clinics.
