As a Medical Assistant on this team, you will be an integral part of the patient's Banner experience looking to provide each person with the best customer service and patient care. When assisting patients directly, you will be rooming patients, taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, scribing, and updating patient electronic medical records accurately and timely. When not doing direct patient care you will be responsible for calling patients with results, checking faxes, initiating prior authorizations, stocking rooms, sterilizing instruments and being an all-around team player. You will be working with a fun, strong team in a family like environment.

This position is responsible for coordinating referral orders for a continuation of treatment, such as specialty services and diagnostic testing within a primary care practice. This position provides all pertinent clinical information needed for the payor authorization and the facility or specialist prior to the services being rendered. The position is responsible for tracking and managing all referrals with the intention and outcome to close any patient care gaps, along with providing documentation to promote team awareness.
