Job summary

Bucksport Regional Health Center is seeking a Referral Specialist to manage scheduling and coordination for referrals to outside specialists or tests. You will copy, prepare and forward medical records as needed, and record referrals in the computer log to keep all data up to date.

The role requires assisting with insurance referrals and pre-authorization, notifying patients of appointment dates, and coordinating follow-ups.

Qualifications

• At least one year of clerical/administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
• One year experience with electronic referral process.
• Electronic medical record experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to communicate and present information.
• Ability to work independently with multiple priorities.

POSITION SUMMARY:
