Job summary

Covenant Medical Group is seeking a Clinical Referral Specialist to manage scheduling for specialty facilities and procedures, register new patients, verify eligibility, and secure pre-certifications. You will collaborate with patients, providers, and nursing staff to ensure timely, coordinated care across the team.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in Referrals and Diagnostics with pre-certification experience, strong medical terminology, and the ability to navigate ICD-10 and CPT coding within

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in Referrals and Diagnostics with pre-certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; insurance pre-certifications and authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Schedule inpatient/outpatient tests, procedures, and appointments; document in medical record.
• Complete referrals and pre-certifications (authorizations) forms.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and add to the electronic health record.
• Coordinate date, time, and location of procedures with patient, facility, and provider.
• Communicate appointments and special instructions to patients.
• Collaborate with patients, physicians, and care team for timely care.
