Position Overview

The Referral Outreach and Case Manager is responsible for leading the referral outreach activities of the organization, ensuring the number of qualified applications is sufficient to meet the annual grant growth goals. This role is also responsible for case management of applications for the two new grant pilot programs: Young Adult Adoption Grants and Relative Licensing Grants.

Job Type: Exempt Part-Time | Remote | 20 - 25 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

Outreach

Implement the Referral Awareness and Marketing strategies outlined in the organization’s 5-year strategic plan

Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including adoption agencies, community organizations, and corporate groups, to expand the referral network and increase application submissions.

Promote GOA pilot programs within appropriate online channels (social media, online community groups/forums, backlinks from referral source sites)

Conduct outreach to adoption professionals, community groups, corporate ERGs/affinity groups, etc.

Target outreach to geographic communities as needed to fulfill funding restrictions.

Steward referral sources by providing feedback on the outcome of referrals.

Conduct presentations and provide training and support to referral sources and community partners to ensure they are well-equipped to promote the grant programs and refer potential applicants.

Represent GOA at industry conferences and actively engage with local communities through events, workshops, and informational sessions to promote the grant programs and encourage applications.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Regularly analyze application data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Provide detailed reports on outreach effectiveness.

Case Management

Serve as the point of contact for pilot program applicants to validate and determine the scope of need.

Research and interface with service providers to complete work in scope of grants (contractors, attorneys, etc).

Create required waivers, releases, and agreements for pilot program grants.

Advise on licensing grant process/manual by type and potentially identify local hands-on partners for the implementation of relative licensing grants

Submit a monthly statement of work report and attend periodic check-in meetings with GOA staff

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Legal, Social Work, Business, or a related field of study.

3-5 years of related experience with project management.

A proven track record with relationship building and contract management

A deep understanding of state child welfare, foster care, and adoption regulations, data, trends, and priorities.

Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish preferred, but not required

Preference given to candidates who live in MI, IN, IL, or WI

Compensation and Benefits

Gift of Adoption Fund offers a highly competitive compensation plan commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the individual selected. As a non-benefit eligible part-time role, this position does not qualify for company sponsored health, disability, or life insurance plans. A 401(k) Plan is available to save for retirement with an employer match fully vested after three years of service. Our vacation, holiday, and leave of absence policies prioritize work-life balance for Gift of Adoption staff.
