El Centro Family Health is seeking a Referral Coordinator based in Las Vegas, NM. The role involves managing patient referrals, ensuring compliance with healthcare laws, and supporting patients throughout their appointments.
A high school diploma is required, with preference for candidates holding an associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare. The coordinator must be fluent in English and Spanish, and prior medical experience is preferred.
A Referral coordinator is a member of the patient care team who helps patients and providers with the referral process for specialty care, critical care management and other referral needs. They ensure continuity of care by following protocols required by health plans. May also provide psychosocial support to individuals, families, and groups with chronic, acute, or terminal illness.
Based at Las Vegas NM
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: None
Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in the health care field.
Experience: Prior medical knowledge or healthcare background preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and processing Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance claims.
Minimum of two (2) years' experience, with at least one (1) year experience in a related field.
Bi-lingual- Fluent English/Spanish
