Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years prior office experience.

Responsibilities

• Process new patient referrals to ensure accurate information is received and promptly scheduled with the therapist.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization when required.
• Provide correct paperwork to new patients and explain information required prior to initial evaluation or treatment.
• Audit and track information in patient files and ensure completion prior to file closing.
• Answer phones and assist patients, therapists, and vendors; manage office supplies and equipment.
• Communicate promptly and courteously with callers, customers, and vendors.
• Handle ordering and stocking of office supplies and maintenance of office equipment.
• Open, post, and distribute mail and assist with miscellaneous mailings and typing as needed.
