Sentara Health in Hampton, VA is seeking a Referral Coordinator to connect patients, primary care providers, specialists and insurers. You will manage referrals and pre-authorization processes, ensuring timely and accurate approvals for services as ordered by the physician.

Strong medical terminology, familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid and third-party payers, and EPIC experience are preferred. This role requires attention to detail and solid organizational skills in a dayshift, 8:00AM–4:30PM

SMG Family & Internal Medicine Physicians Careplex is now hiring a Referral Coordinator in the Hampton, VA area!

Provides a direct link between patients, primary care providers, specialty providers, and insurance companies. Coordinates referral process from primary care providers as well as pre-authorization approvals for drugs and other services as ordered by provider.

Medical terminology preferred. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third party payers. One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred. Knowledge of EPIC preferred. Proficient in use of computers and excellent organizational skills.
