Job summary

University of Florida Jacksonville Physicians, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in the clinic by performing clinical and administrative tasks.

The role requires CMA certification (or attainment within 6 months) and BLS at hire; completion of an accredited MA program is expected.

Qualifications

• 1-year experience as Medical Assistant preferred.
• 2–4 years clerical/customer service in health care preferred.
• 1-year experience with third party payors and data entry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and prepare patients for care.
• Document all entries in medical records with signature, date, and time.
• Administer medication under physician supervision.
• Observe and report patient signs or symptoms; collect routine lab specimens.
• Provide basic first aid.
• Participate in performance improvement projects.
• Collaborate as an active care team member in patient care coordination.
• Ensure high standards of customer service for patients and staff.
