Florida SouthWestern State College invites applications for a part-time Reference Librarian. This temporary role provides information literacy instruction, research support, and reference services to students and faculty across campus libraries.
The position requires a Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies (ALA‑accredited) or equivalent with strong oral and written communication, and a commitment to inclusive learning and excellent customer service.
Florida SouthWestern State College is accepting resumes in search of a Reference Librarian. This part-time, temporary role provides high-quality information literacy and research instruction in collaboration with discipline faculty and Faculty Librarians. The position provides core reference services, including in-depth consultation, mediated database searching, identifying appropriate knowledge-based resources, developing effective search strategies, and providing recommendations for citation management, downloading, and output. This is a part-time, temporary role requiring approximately twenty (20) hours of work per week when assigned. Assignments may include traveling to other FSW campus libraries.
Compensation is $26 per hour; however, this is not a formal hourly position.
