Job description

Bridge Carpenter – Charlotte, NC

Reeves Construction Company is seeking an individual for the position of Bridge Carpenter based out of Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

• Work will involve physical exertion of a practical nature. Individual may have limited or no experience in road and/or site construction.
• Abilities must be flexible to allow various labor activities including, but not limited to: shoveling dirt, sand, asphalt or concrete using shovels; cutting or trimming trees and vegetation using ditch blades, sling blades, chain saws or power weed trimmers; driving stakes or breaking concrete using sledge hammers, operating hand‑driven compaction devices.
• Handles, stacks, and moves formwork and materials. Keep jobsite clean and orderly by cleaning and stacking materials not in use.
• Perform shoveling, raking, and demolition work as required.
• Assist others during concrete placements, traffic control, and prefabrication tasks.
• Able to work and assist others to work in a safe manner within the guidelines of the company's policies.
• Any other task assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 1‑2 years of experience working in bridge construction or a similar field.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Driving License (preferred)
