Job summary

The State of Iowa seeks a Residential Officer for its 24-hour community-based corrections facility. You will be a direct service provider engaging in high-contact interactions with clients, focusing on programs that foster growth and reduce reoffending.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, use motivational interviewing and CBT strategies, support case managers, consider individual needs, and respond to emergencies with safety in mind.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility security checks and searches as required.
• Transport clients within the community when needed.
• Utilize motivation interviewing and cognitive behavioral strategies to support behavior change.
• Support case managers and clients in achieving goals while considering individual needs and trauma histories.
