Job summary

Turning Point of Central California, Inc. is hiring an Employment Specialist to prepare residents for workforce reintegration and connect them with suitable job opportunities.

The role reports to the APD and Program Director and emphasizes individualized planning, community partnerships, and adherence to FBOP requirements. The ES will facilitate workshops, coordinate with local employers, and monitor progress to ensure successful job placement and retention for residents transitioning from

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in a social, human services, criminal justice or behavioral science program from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of one year work experience in a human services, corrections, or community-based service.
• Knowledge of labor market trends and employment resources is preferred.
• Ability to write reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assess employment readiness and develop individualized employment plans (IEPs).
• Coordinate with employers, workforce agencies, and community colleges for job opportunities.
• Lead employment workshops, seminars, and job fairs on-site or with partners.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of Fresno County job openings and develop employer relationships.
• Verify employment through on-site visits within seven calendar days of placement and conduct monthly follow-ups.
