As corrections professionals it is all of our jobs to assist in the reentry of offenders. Working within theDepartment, with community partners, and state agencies to increase community safety and reduce recidivismrates. The Reentry Coordinator will be heavily involved in the planning, facilitating, and coordination ofprerelease services for the reentry of offenders in to the community.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
The ideal candidate should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, planning and organisingskills, the ability to multitask, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a team orientedenvironment. This candidate should possess the ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the Departmentand Division.
Works primarily in an office setting. Travel maybe required within the region and to the Department of Corrections Central Office in Frankfort.
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
