Job summary

RI Council 94 seeks a Community Program Counselor to support the state’s community confinement and pretrial programs. You will interview offenders and community members, assess eligibility for home confinement, and prepare detailed written reports for courts and staff.

This full-time role requires strong case management, collaboration with agencies, and the ability to monitor cases daily. 5+ years in corrections preferred; experience with investigations and re-entry services is advantageous.

Qualifications

Knowledge of community confinement, bail, pretrial release and case management.
Ability to conduct fact finding interviews with offenders and community members and submit written reports.
Ability to analyze case records, police, court and departmental files.
Ability to compile data and submit various reports related to the program.

Responsibilities

Conduct interviews and investigations to assess home confinement eligibility.
Assist with home confinement applications to courts and related processes.
Monitor inmates awaiting trial and coordinate court appearances and case management.
Prepare program status reports on home confinement and pretrial release participants.
Liaise with state agencies, community providers and others in the program.
