Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a program specialist to implement pre-release case plans, evaluate offender progress and coordinate aftercare referrals. You will collaborate with local and state partners and may facilitate classes as needed to support successful reintegration.

The role requires maintaining documentation, preparing monthly reports, and contributing to tracking mechanisms to improve programming and services. Eligible employees receive comprehensive state benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and relevant program experience.
• Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for required program experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement pre-release case plans with offenders.
• Evaluate progress, discharge outcomes and aftercare planning referrals (employment, housing, etc.).
• Collaborate with local and state partners.
• Facilitate classes when needed.
• Maintain documentation of all services provided.
• Prepare and present monthly reports.
• Assist in developing and implementing tracking mechanisms.
• Provide input to improve programming and services.
