Job summary

Sonsray in North Haven, CT seeks a Reefer Technician to keep transport refrigeration equipment operating safely and efficiently. The role suits a mechanically inclined technician who enjoys troubleshooting, working with advanced refrigeration systems, and delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced dealership environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional workmanship. Full-time position with salary $25–$35 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience diagnosing and repairing Thermo King, Carrier, APUs, gensets, and V-series units.
• EPA 608/609 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair components of truck, trailer, V-series refrigeration units, gensets, and APUs.
• Identify and repair failures using a multi-meter and testing equipment.
• Address freon leaks with soldering and part installation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and service of refrigeration equipment.
• Install new Thermo King units on trailers, trucks, and APUs.
• Maintain service records and prepare estimates.
• Document repairs and communicate findings to shop orders.
