Job summary

Marten Transport, Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform in-house repairs on the Reefer fleet at our Edwardsville, KS facility.

The role requires diagnosing and repairing equipment, rebuilding components, and completing preventive maintenance inspections to keep fleets on track. The ideal candidate will have EPA certification, strong mechanical skills, and basic computer proficiency, with the ability to read, write English and solve problems efficiently.

Qualifications

• EPA certification required; provide upon request.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and write English and basic computer skills.
• Ability to identify and solve problems efficiently.
• Experience with tractor maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency in diagnosis and repair of equipment.
• Maintain proficiency in rebuilding components on equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repair issues identified.
• Complete repair orders with accurate labor and parts charges.
• Attend training classes and apply instruction.
• Return unused parts to parts room.
• Keep the work area clean.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
