You will also develop, enhance, validate, and support Concurrent's KVM-RT real-time virtualization engine to ensure that both real-time hosts and real-time virtual machines continue to achieve the highest level of determinism and lowest latencies in the industry. Periodically you will work on various projects including performance analysis, benchmarking, release engineering, security hardening, white paper authoring, quality assurance, and assisting with our automated nightly test system. You will assess and determine areas of current engineering emphasis to focus attention on maximum utilization of engineering capabilities. You will translate future product needs into engineering feasibility and be aware of product and project issues across multiple engineering disciplines. You will consider all systems level aspects of products in accomplishing the most complex conceptual and innovative design projects. You will employ all required section equipment, tools and methods, contribute to improving the technical knowledge base and effectiveness of other engineers, interface with co-workers and staff from other departments, impart technical expertise within the department and to customers and user groups.

Experience Requirements

Good foundations in C and C++ with experience from working on individual projects. Familiarity with Bash scripting and Linux in general. Classwork and/or knowledge of operating system fundamentals, including virtualization.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000 annually plus a 10% yearly bonus. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
