Job summary

Millennium Corporation in Charleston, SC seeks a skilled Red Team Security Engineer to advance offensive security across enterprise environments. You will conduct penetration tests, emulate adversaries, and develop custom tooling to strengthen customer defenses.

Required are DoD-level certifications, 8570 IAT Level II clearance, and 3+ years’ related experience with Python/PowerShell/Bash. Expect close collaboration with internal teams and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or computer networking, including 1+ year of hands-on penetration testing.
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, CND, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
• Active Top Secret Clearance.
• One of the following certifications, or the ability to obtain within one year of hire: OSCP, OSWE, CRTO, CPTS, CBBH, PNPT, GRTP, GX-PT, or GXPN.
• Proficiency with Python, PowerShell, and Bash scripting.
• Experience with web application security assessments, TCP/IP networking, packet analysis, and offensive security tools such as Kali Linux and Cobalt Strike.
• Understanding of Red Team C2 infrastructure, emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploitation techniques.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; able to manage engagements from planning through reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration testing engagements against enterprise applications, systems, and network environments.
• Perform Red Team operations emulating sophisticated adversary TTPs.
• Research vulnerabilities and exploitation methods to improve offensive capabilities.
• Develop and maintain custom tools, scripts, and payloads (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Design, configure, and maintain test environments for assessments.
• Manage penetration testing engagements from planning to final reporting and remediation recommendations.
• Analyze network traffic, captures, and system behavior with analysis tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams to communicate findings and mitigation strategies.
• Participate in technical training and cybersecurity exercises to stay current.
