Job summary

Millennium Corporation in Washington DC is hiring a Red Team Security Engineer to work in a hybrid capacity. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly eligibility and hands-on experience in red team and defense operations.

You will perform red team operations on diverse tools and environments, support continuous monitoring, conduct risk assessments, implement security controls, and help security teams with training and documentation.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly eligibility required.
• BS and 5+ years of experience, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Required Sec+; Desired OSCP/E, GPEN, CEH, CCNA, CISSP.
• Experience in Red Team operations and defensive cyber operations.
• Experience with security tooling and integration for DoD-like environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks.
• Assist with integrated, dynamic cyber defense and maintain security toolsets for continuous monitoring and authorization programs.
• Conduct system security and vulnerability analyses; perform risk assessments and architecture studies.
• Implement security systems and intrusion detection methodologies; support SOC and Blue Team.
• Develop and execute test scripts to verify security systems.
• Maintain security by monitoring standards, policies, and training.
• Design and integrate IA architectures for computing and enclave environments.
• Ensure secure architecture for program-of-record systems and specialized processing nodes.
• Assist with business development through technical interviews, documentation, and proposal work.
• Be comfortable with long desk-bound work and lifting up to 10–15 pounds.

As a Red Team Security Engineer, you will be challenged to perform in-depth Red Team operations on a wide variety of tools, systems, services, and network/store/compute environments. Currency with attacking the latest IT and communications technologies - as well as a solid foundation in network and services basics - are a must.

In this job you will

• Monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision.
• Assist with integrated, dynamic cyber defense, coordinate and maintain security toolsets to support organizations’ continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs, establish a framework by which cyber risk can be measured and quantified in the marketplace.
• Determines security requirements by researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues;
• Implements security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment preparing preventive and reactive measures; providing technical support to SOC, Blue Team, and other defenders; completing documentation.
• Verifies security systems by developing and implementing test scripts.
• Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance with standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programs.
• Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and integration of a DoD-like IA architectures, systems, or system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments.
• Ensure that the architecture and design of development and operational systems are functional and secure. This includes designs for program-of-record systems and special-purpose processing nodes with platform IT interconnectivity.
• Candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly eligbility
• BS & 5+ Yrs of experience or additional 5 yrs of experience in lieu of degree
• Required Sec+ Desired (one or more) OSCP/E, GPEN, CEH, CCNA, CISSP

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

• Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.

$135K-145K

The salary range provided for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee a specific salary or compensation amount. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including, relevant education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
