Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks
- Assess customer needs and preferences, making recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Plan and present the bar menu
- Check IDs to verify legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Rotate between bartending and serving roles as needed
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Maintain proper etiquette and service standards
Essential Qualifications and Competencies:
- Attention to detail
- Approachable, perceptive, and customer service-oriented
- Effective communication with guests, staff, and supervisors
- Professional appearance and hygiene
- Self-motivated, adaptable, responsible, and reliable
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to understand ratios and percentages

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented and cooperative attitude
- Proven experience as a bartender in a high-volume setting
- Knowledge of drink mixing, garnishing, and serving
- Computer literacy
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean
- Physical ability to perform activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 20 pounds frequently
- Willingness to pass Vermont Division of Liquor Control training and a background check
