• Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain the highest degree of professionalism while ensuring that each guest is treated as a highly valued individual and vitally important to the success of the operation.
• Organize seating and proper station rotation of the restaurant.
• Responsible for greeting and seating guests.
• Ensures that bus persons have tables cleared and set on a timely basis.
• Update table status using the Host Alert system.
• Update and manage the wait list using the Host Alert system.
• Process guest checks using the Info Genesis system, handling cash transactions including credit cards, comps, promotions, coupons, discounts, and boarding passes points.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Thunder Valley Casino’s “ELITE” Company-wide culture and demonstrating Thunder Valley Casino’s 4-Diamond Service Standards at all times.
2. Responsibilities including but not limited to:
A) Be in station at assigned time to work
B) Attend pre-shift meetings
C) Greet guests at the entrance verbally with a warm welcome and inquiring about the number in their party.
D) Seat guest pleasantly, quickly & evenly throughout open stations or, placing parties on a waiting list using established guidelines.
E) Present menus from the left side after guest have been seated
F) Controlling the entrance area, organizing parties waiting to be seated.
G) Updating open station status, station templates and assign servers to stations following the daily labor allocation sheet.
H) Communicating with servers, bus persons and Management on room coordination.
I) Processing guest checks following established procedures and proper tendering of transactions.
J) Taking and processing to go orders.
K) Ensures cleanliness of all menus including posted menus and signage.
L) Following established side work duties.
M) Following established internal control procedures for obtaining banks, returning banks and non cash paperwork drop.
N) Answering telephones within 3 rings and providing information.
O) Bussing and resetting tables when needed
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
2. Proficiency to communicate in Cantonese or Mandarin
3. Must be at least 18 years of age
4. Ability to obtain / renew all required licenses or certification specifically Tribal Gaming License.
