Job summary

PeopleReady in Longview, TX is hiring a Recycling Helper to sort materials along a conveyor belt and pull out unrecyclable items. You will help ensure efficient recycling operations and operate yard equipment as needed.

This role offers on-site work with day shifts and immediate onboarding through the JobStack app, plus next-day pay on many assignments. The job requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfort working outdoors in varied weather.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior recycling yard experience preferred but not required.
• Able to repeatedly reach, bend, push, pull, and climb.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible to work in all weather conditions.
• Able to remain in a stationary position for up to 10 hours.

Responsibilities

• Sort materials into appropriate containers for recycling.
• Deposit recoverable materials into chutes and place materials on conveyor belts.
• Operate baler to compress recyclable materials into bundles or bales.
• Clean and maintain recycling yard equipment.
• Remove chemicals from discarded appliances.
• Load items onto trucks for shipping to other processing facilities.
