Responsibilities

• Supervise site attendants by scheduling, hiring, disciplining, and visiting the sites to ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Evaluate recycling sites and safety issues for improvements or upgrades.
• Coordinate contracts with vendors to ensure timely recycling pick-ups.
• Identify recycling markets to divert waste from disposal.
• Prepare budgets, reports, and grant applications; assist with litter control and recycling programs.
• Educate schools and the public about litter prevention and recycling.
• Provide OSHA compliance guidance for department staff.
• Supervise roll-off drivers and vehicle maintenance.
