Job summary

Verde is seeking a Recycle Technician to support daily recycling and waste reduction programs by sorting, staging, processing, and transporting recyclable materials. You will work closely with the ESG Supervisor to maximize material recovery and ensure clean, safe operations.

This role requires the ability to lift 50+ pounds, operate balers and other equipment, and maintain safe, efficient facilities. Shift: Sunday-Thursday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM; pay $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities, janitorial, warehouse, recycling, or waste management operations.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds safely.
• Experience operating material handling equipment and recycling tools preferred.
• Able to work in fast-paced industrial environments.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• MUST pass MVR.

Responsibilities

• Sort, collect, and stage recyclable materials at collection points.
• Operate recycling equipment (balers, compactors, pallet jacks, and dollies).
• Support Outbound Asset Material (OAM) processes, including material movement and documentation.
• Assist with transporting and preparing materials for shipment or disposal.
• Monitor recycling streams for contamination and educate staff on sorting procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of waste enclosures, loading docks, and recycling areas.
