Job summary
East Jordan Plastics, Inc. in Lyons, GA is hiring a Recycling Technician for the 2nd shift (4:00 p.m.–midnight). You will learn to inspect and sort plastics, operate equipment, and maintain a safe, clean work area.
No prior manufacturing experience is required; paid training is provided. Earn $19.40/hour with a $2 shift premium ($17.40 base + $2). Eligible for paid time off and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- No previous manufacturing experience is needed—we’ll show you the ropes.
- Ability to bend, twist, climb, stand, and lift up to 50 lb.
- Dependable attitude and willingness to pitch in as part of the team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Forklift experience is helpful, but not required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and sort materials by plastic type.
- Remove cardboard, metal, film, and other unwanted materials from the sorting line.
- Load materials onto a conveyor belt.
- Watch the line and help maintain material quality.
- Break down boxes and crates.
- Operate the baler safely after training.
- Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized.
