Job summary

GFL Environmental is hiring a Recycling Sorter in Orlando to manually separate recyclable materials on a busy sortation line while upholding safety and cleanliness. The role requires reliable, hardworking candidates who can pass background checks and drug testing.

This is a full-time, year-round position with a 7:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule, Monday to Friday. You will work in a union-free environment focused on teamwork, with PPE provided and opportunities to grow within our Team Green culture.

Qualifications

• Sorting Operations: Manually sort recyclable materials (paper, plastics, metals, cardboard) as directed by line leads based on designated sorting positions.
• Speed & Accuracy: Maintain proper hand speeds to efficiently pick and separate high volumes of recyclable materials.
• Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to company written safety guidelines and complete all required Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Housekeeping: Keep personal workspace clear of trip and fall hazards; assist with daily warehouse cleaning and maintenance.
• Teamwork: Move to different areas of the sortation system as directed by supervisors and communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
