Job summary

MB Companies is seeking a Recycling Technician / Heavy Equipment Operator to support daily recycling and warehouse/yard operations at our Baldwin headquarters. The role combines hands-on labor with operating heavy equipment to process inbound and outbound materials safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable in an active industrial environment, with experience in recycling, scrap, construction, or related labor.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment (HEO designation) required.
• Previous recycling, scrap, construction, or industrial labor preferred.
• Forklift certification a plus or ability to obtain.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable attendance and team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Sort, stage, and process recyclable materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers.
• Support baler operations as directed.
• Operate heavy equipment such as material handlers, wheel loaders, forklifts, and excavators.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and basic daily equipment checks.
• Report mechanical or safety issues promptly.
• Move materials efficiently.
• Support inbound and outbound material coordination.
• Assist supervisors with special projects and operational needs.
• Follow all company safety policies and training.
