Job summary

FCC Environmental Services, LLC is seeking a Material Sorter to support our recycling facility’s operations. The role involves manual handling, sorting, cleaning, and assisting machine operators to ensure efficient processing of recyclable materials.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, experience in garbage/recycling, and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods. Safety PPE and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Garbage/Recycling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Sort recycling materials from conveyors and processing equipment.
• Keep the work area clean and organized for safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with machine operators to ensure smooth processing of materials.
• Maintain basic records of material movements and activities.
• Report issues or incidents to supervisors.
• Follow safety regulations and wear required PPE.
• Work with team members to meet daily production goals and communicate clearly with supervisors.
