Description

The person in this position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Recycling Aide duties.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and transport recyclable materials from designated locations across campus.
  • Sort and separate recyclable items such as cardboard, paper, plastic, aluminum, and glass according to recycling guidelines.
  • Operate recycling equipment to create and prepare bales of recyclable materials for storage or transport.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the recycling yard and work areas to ensure a safe environment.
  • Pick up and empty recycling bins throughout campus on a scheduled basis.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and storing recyclable materials.
  • Inspect materials to remove contamination and ensure proper recycling procedures are followed.
  • Follow all campus safety policies and proper lifting techniques while performing duties.
  • Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to supervisors.
  • Support campus sustainability and environmental initiatives through responsible recycling practices.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
