Your Job

As an International Recycled Fiber Trader for Georgia-Pacific Recycling, specializing in paper and fiber sales, you will join our team to maintain and expand our presence in the global recycling marketplace. Your role involves pricing products, negotiating contracts, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and staying informed on market trends and regulatory changes. This fast-paced, dynamic position requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Location

We are seeking candidates based on the East Coast. This position offers remote work flexibility with a home base. Candidates should expect to travel 30-50% of the time, accommodating both domestic and international business needs. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What You Will Do

1. Profitably expand international trading business and grow mutually beneficial partnerships.
2. Develop and execute sales strategies to sustain and grow the paper and fiber sales sector.
3. Price products competitively and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
4. Foster relationships with global partners, coordinate sales efforts, and ensure effective collaboration.
5. Collaborate with internal teams like operations and logistics to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
6. Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities.
7. Maintain thorough market research and analysis to identify potential customers, understand their needs, and develop tailored sales proposals.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

1. Experience in a paper or fiber sales role.
2. International sales experience.
3. Bachelor’s Degree or additional sales, procurement, or international supply chain experience.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
5. Effective communication skills across organizational levels.
6. Ability to proactively set and manage priorities.
7. Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sales, supply chain, logistics, exports, etc.
8. Willingness to travel 30%+ including international and domestic trips based on business needs.

What Will Put You Ahead

1. 3+ years experience in the recycling industry.
2. Experience trading recycled fiber commodities.
3. Bilingual skills in European languages, Hindi, or Mandarin.
4. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Finance.

Salary range: $125,000 - $175,000 per year. Eligible for variable pay, such as bonuses.
