Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP in Wilmington, Delaware is seeking a Recycle Technician to support the recycle, reuse, and reclamation program. You will follow safety rules, perform duties with a team, handle materials, and maintain logs while ensuring environmental and customer service standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with recycling experience, CPR/First Aid and forklift certifications are a plus, and a valid driver''s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years recycling experience in a company environment or equivalent training
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus; may be required
• May require valid driver’s license and forklift certification
• Hazardous Waste Handling Training per RCRA or similar requirements; safety certifications encouraged
• Bilingual a plus; ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment

• Collect, salvage, and sort reusable or recycle materials or waste materials
• Inspect and sort materials
• Maintain dock and collection areas
• Work with multiple collection containers

Job Overview

The Recycle Technician will be responsible for the recycle, reuse, and reclamation, program.

Education and/ or Experience: High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of recycling experience in a company environment or equivalent combination of training and experience - preferred

Certificates, Licenses** , Registrations:** CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus. May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified. May be required to have Hazardous Waste Handling Training per RCRA. Completed all safety and task training certifications

Knowledge, Ability, Skills:

Bilingual a plus

Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and willing to share with team.

Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment.

Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Shifts and Compensation

Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30p

$17- $18 per hour
