Job summary

SBM in Shippensburg, PA seeks a Recycle Technician to handle recycle, reuse, and reclamation tasks. You will collect, salvage, and sort materials, inspect items, and maintain dock areas while following safety rules.

You’ll work with a team and communicate professionally with leadership and co-workers, maintaining logs and schedules and adhering to environmental reporting practices. The role requires safety-first mindset, the ability to read instructions, and strong verbal and written

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of recycling experience in a company environment or equivalent.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification is a plus.
• A valid driver's license may be required based on business needs.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Hazardous Waste Handling Training per RCRA will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Collect, salvage, and sort reusable or recycle materials or waste materials.
• Inspect and sort materials and maintain dock and collection areas.
• Maintain logs and schedules and present a professional appearance.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Follow safety rules, use PPE, and understand reporting systems and the environment.

Recycle Technician# **Job Description:****Job Overview**The Recycle Technician will be responsible for the recycle, reuse, and reclamation, program. **Roles & Responsibilities**To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A valid driver's license may be required for this position based on business needs. Employees required to drive as part of their job duties must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet company driving eligibility requirements . Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certified. May be required to have Hazardous Waste Handling Training per RCRA.
