Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. in Piketon, OH, is seeking an experienced Senior Shift Supervisor for the Recycle and Assembly building to maintain safe, efficient operations and authorize restarts when prerequisites are met.

You will supervise centrifuge assembly, testing and repair activities, ensure compliance with procedures, document shift evolutions, issue permits, and coordinate with service and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Manufacturing/Chemical/Engineering.
• Three years of industrial/chemical/nuclear plant operations or related experience.
• Supervisory/leadership experience or completion of a supervisory training course.
• Must possess or maintain a Q level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, schedules, instructs and trains personnel in centrifuge assembly/disassembly/select repair, equipment monitoring, data collection, and supporting systems in accordance with approved procedures.
• Monitors work of assigned areas for compliance with procedures and directs operations using approved procedures or test plans under normal, off-normal and emergency response conditions.
• Ensures all activities are clearly documented and maintains a narrative log of shift activities and operational evolutions.
• Issues work permits as required.
• Ensures qualified personnel are available to complete assigned work.
• Performs integrated system testing and execution of test plans and coordinates work activities with other groups (service and construction).
• Develops, reviews, and validates administrative, procedural, and technical documents, e.g., schematics, operating procedures, process control narratives, statement of work, system requirement documents, failure mode evaluation analysis, technical manual review, design criteria.

Job Summary

As the senior supervisor on shift in the Recycle and Assembly building, they have the authority and responsibility to make decisions, as necessary, to ensure safe operations. The Operations Shift Supervisors are responsible for supervising and assisting assigned personnel in the safe and efficient assembly, transport, installation, pump down, drying, integrated system testing and select repair of centrifuges. The Recycle and Assembly Operations Shift Supervisors are also responsible for directing the operation of systems, components and personnel within the facilities as necessary. The Recycle and Assembly Operations Shift Supervisors authorize the restart of equipment that has been shut down in a routine fashion when the prerequisites and limitations of the associated operating procedure are met.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Assigns, schedules, instructs and trains personnel in centrifuge assembly/disassembly/select repair, equipment monitoring, data collection, and supporting systems in accordance with approved procedures.

• Responsible for safe and efficient work area and work practices.
• Performs routine walk-through inspections of assigned areas and documents and provides resolution for identified deficiencies.
• Assists in the development and validation of test plans, procedures and training material.
• Develops, reviews, and validates administrative, procedural, and technical documents, e.g., schematics, operating procedures, process control narratives, statement of work, system requirement documents, failure mode evaluation analysis, technical manual review, design criteria.
• Ensures the workforce includes and is conducive to the participation of individuals with diverse ethnic backgrounds, both genders, including those with and without disabilities.
• Enforces and adheres to company policies, procedures, code of conduct, security and environmental and safety program requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Manufacturing/Chemical/Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Three (3) years of industrial/chemical/nuclear plant operations, maintenance, engineering, or support experience.
• Previous supervisory/leadership experience or completion of a supervisory training course
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a \"Q\" level security clearance.

Pay

Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $67,564 - $135,128. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.
