Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX seeks an AHA instructor to deliver American Heart Association courses on an infrequent, on-call basis. The appointment is temporary and part-time, with responsibility for coordinating instruction according to the AHA curriculum.

Responsibilities include facilitating video presentations, lectures, skills demonstrations, testing, and completing post-course documentation.

Major/Essential Functions

• Provides Instruction for American Heart Association(AHA) Courses per the AHA's guidelines and curriculum.
• Facilitates video presentations, lectures, skills, demonstrations, testing students, and completing post-course documentation.

Required Qualifications

Current AHA Instructor certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of field experience in healthcare with an approved certification or licensure in instructional discipline.
• One or more year(s) experience in teaching.
