Description

At the Recuperative Care Program, Preble Street partners with Greater Portland Health and Maine Medical Center to provide medical and social services to people experiencing homelessness discharged from hospital care. The program offers a safe, supportive environment in a 15-bed, 24-hour trauma-informed care facility.

Preble Street is seeking a Supervisor to lead the overnight team and programming of the Recuperative Care Program (RCP). As part of the RCP management team, the supervisor will manage the 3rd shift activities, lead direct services, supervise the casework team, and collaborate with partners.

This is a full-time (40 hours/week), awake 3rd shift position with the schedule: Monday-Wednesday, 10:00 pm – 8:00 am.

Qualifications

Qualifications include a degree in social work or a related field, with 3-5 years of relevant experience leading a team, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with homeless populations and those with mental health and substance use disorders is required.

Additional requirements: ability to lead and supervise staff, strong communication and crisis intervention skills, ability to maintain professional boundaries, alignment with Preble Street’s mission, and a commitment to trauma-informed, harm-reduction services.

Compensation & Benefits

The hourly rate is $28.72, plus a $2.00/hour overnight shift differential between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am.
