Job summary

Position Summary

The Recruitment Supervisor plays an important role within their assigned talent pod. In addition to their current job responsibilities as a recruiter, the Recruitment Supervisor will take on duties to effectively manage the day-to-day operations of recruitment and onboarding within the talent pod such as providing mentorship and management to the recruiter(s) and recruitment support specialists.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle recruitment process for designated departments within their pod, ensuring timely and efficient candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies for assigned pod to attract top talent, utilizing various sourcing channels and techniques.
  • Maintain a personal requisition load, actively sourcing and selecting candidates for assigned positions
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to recruiter(s)and recruitment support specialists within the talent pod
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and work with TA Manager to identify opportunities for training and improvement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and TA leadership, providing expertise on market trends, recruitment best practices, and candidate selection
  • Monitor and manage the requisition pipeline for the pod
  • Work with Assistant Director, TA to review, design, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in talent acquisition operations
  • Work with Assistant Director, TA to utilize applicant tracking system and other recruitment tools to manage the candidate pipeline and track/report on recruitment metrics, providing regular updates to management
  • Manage onboarding for assigned pod, ensuring a smooth, positive new hire experience and compliance with requirements, including audits of I-9s, medical clearances, background checks, and license/certification verifications.
  • Manage mandatory compliance auditing of new hire and transfer employees
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to quality standards with relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the recruitment process through regular audits
  • Conducts non-academic New Employee orientation.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects, as needed and directed.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
Experience
  • 5 or more years of recruitment/interviewing experience
  • Demonstrated and proven experience recruiting qualified candidates using a variety of sources.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact with multiple constituencies and exercise "people skills".
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to treat confidential information with utmost discretion.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative manner with all departmental faculty and staff, as well as other institutional representatives.
