Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services is seeking a recruiter to support aviation and cargo handling roles, sourcing from online platforms and our internal ATS, and coordinating end-to-end candidate processes. You will collaborate with hiring managers to craft effective strategies and ensure timely hiring across shifts.

The role involves pre-employment checks, onboarding, and badge processing, with emphasis on confidentiality, strong organization, and a proactive approach to building a diverse candidate

Qualifications

• Experience recruiting for hourly positions and management roles, preferably in aviation and cargo handling.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
• Willingness to work some weekends and overtime as needed.
• Strong time management, multi-tasking, and urgency to deliver results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Job Summary

Recruit for hourly positions and Management jobs in Aviation and Ground and Cargo Handling.

Source candidates from various career websites including SAP our internal applicant tracking system. Support recruiting team by building and maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates.

Actively source passive candidates by conducting market research, developing professional relationships and referral networks. Partner with hiring managers to understand qualification requirements of positions and develop appropriate recruitment strategies. Manage the candidate search process by implementing external sourcing strategies and assessing candidates.

Apply leading-edge recruitment principles to develop strong candidate relationships and deliver high-quality talent to the facilities. Utilize full range of recruiting methods including Internet and online database searches and attending job fairs and conferences. Develop interview protocol; interviewing and evaluating applicants; and extending and employment offers. Perform pre-employment verification and facilitate on -boarding of new hires. Execute new badge application to Customs and Port Authority and renew expired badge for current employees. Effective onboarding new hires into automating system.

Responsibilities

• Ability to maintain confidential information.

• Experience working in the aerospace industry is preferred but not required.
• Must have strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Must have a sense of urgency and accountable to results.
• Must be detail oriented with professional phone demeanor.
• Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
• Must pass pre-employment background check.
• Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
• Light travel to support Regional Recruiting efforts.
• One to three years previous Recruiting experience preferably in aviation and cargo handling for hourly roles. Independent judgment and decision-making skills required
• Must be able to work some weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off.
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language .

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with personal computer software helpful.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

• Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

• Reach above and/or below shoulder.
• Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
• Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
