JOB DESCRIPTION
The Recruiting Sourcer role is responsible for identifying, engaging, and building pipelines of qualified candidates to support the business’s hiring needs. This position partners closely with recruiters and hiring managers to proactively source talent through online platforms, professional networks, referrals, and industry research. A typical day includes conducting targeted candidate searches, outreach to potential candidates, reviewing resumes, and maintaining organized talent pipelines within the applicant tracking system. The Sourcer plays a critical role in ensuring the business has a strong and diverse pool of candidates for current and future hiring needs.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive sourcing using LinkedIn, job boards, internal databases, and other recruiting tools to identify qualified candidates
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs
- Perform initial candidate outreach through messaging, email, and networking efforts
- Review resumes and profiles to assess alignment with role requirements
- Partner with recruiters to understand hiring needs and develop targeted sourcing strategies
- Maintain accurate and organized candidate records in the applicant tracking system
- Track sourcing activity and pipeline progress to support recruiting metrics and reporting
- Research industry trends, talent markets, and competitor organizations to identify talent pools
- Support employer branding efforts by promoting opportunities and engaging passive candidates
- Assist recruiters with scheduling screenings or coordinating candidate communication as needed
- Performs additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational needs.
Position Requirements (Work Experience, Skills, Licenses, Etc.)
- Strong research and sourcing skills using platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and online talent databases
- Ability to identify qualified candidates based on job requirements and transferable skills
- Strong written communication skills for candidate outreach and engagement
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools
- Ability to analyze candidate profiles and assess alignment with hiring needs
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with candidates
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with recruiters and hiring managers
- Self-motivated with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 1–3 years of experience in recruiting, sourcing, talent acquisition, or a related role
- Experience using LinkedIn or similar platforms to identify and engage candidates
Desired
- Experience working within an applicant tracking system or recruiting software
- Experience supporting recruiting efforts within engineering, construction, technical, or corporate environments

Hours
This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours begin and end between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm with a one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary for business needs

- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally life and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Competitive Wages
$26.92 to $33.65 per hour. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
