Job summary

NPAA is seeking a Talent Acquisition & Learning & Development professional to lead end-to-end recruitment and design impactful training initiatives. In a hybrid role based in Lansing, IL, you’ll partner with managers to craft job descriptions, source top talent, and onboard new hires.

You’ll also design training needs assessments, develop materials and courses, and track results to continuously improve programs. Collaboration across HR and business units is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, business, or related field.
  • 3–5 years in recruitment and/or learning & development.
  • Strong knowledge of talent acquisition strategies, ATS, HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HR software, LMS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certification in HR, Recruitment, or L&D (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CPTD) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Own and manage end-to-end hiring process: postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and create job descriptions.
  • Utilize sourcing methods: job boards, social media, referrals, networking.
  • Maintain ATS and ensure hiring policy compliance.
  • Conduct initial candidate assessments and coordinate interviews.
  • Negotiate offers and ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Design and implement training programs with Sr. Manager of Talent Management.
  • Identify skill gaps and development opportunities through training needs assessments.
  • Create instructional materials, e-learning, and in-person sessions.
  • Track training participation and measure program effectiveness.
  • Organize workshops, webinars, leadership development activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to introduce innovative learning solutions.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This hybrid role is responsible for attracting and hiring top talent while also designing and implementing training programs to support employee growth and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruitment, talent acquisition strategies, and corporate training programs.

POSTION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent.

  • Conduct initial candidate assessments and coordinate interview processes.
  • Negotiate job offers and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
Learning & Development (L&D)
  • Work with Sr. Manager of Talent Management to design and implement effective training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
  • Develop instructional materials, e-learning courses, and in-person training sessions.
  • Track training participation and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs.
  • Organize workshops, webinars, and leadership development programs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to introduce innovative learning solutions.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in recruitment and/or learning & development.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
