About Dutch

Care when it counts — from wherever you practice.

At Dutch, we’re on a mission to make veterinary care more accessible, affordable, and supportive — for both pets and the professionals who care for them.

As the only veterinary telemedicine service that can diagnose and prescribe virtually, we connect pet parents with licensed veterinarians to deliver real advice, real prescriptions, and real impact.

Backed by world‑class investors including Forerunner Ventures, Eclipse Venture Capital, and Bling Capital, Dutch combines stability with the energy of a high‑growth startup.

Our team includes leaders who have built and scaled successful ventures like Hims, Plushcare, and TripAdvisor.

Dutch has been featured in TechCrunch, Forbes, Wired, and Modern Retail, reflecting our growing influence in veterinary care and telehealth.

About The Role

The Recruiting Coordinator is a key member of the Talent Operations team, supporting the growth of Dutch’s veterinarian network. Reporting to the Talent Operations Specialist, you’ll manage day‑to‑day recruiting and onboarding coordination, from candidate outreach through activation, while ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and internal teams.

The role is best suited for an organized, approachable animal lover who thrives on solving problems and juggling multiple priorities. You’re passionate about Dutch’s mission, bring a sales mentality to recruiting, and are motivated to hit goals while attracting high‑quality veterinarians. You’re proactive, adaptable, comfortable speaking up when you see opportunities for improvement, and excited to help build scalable processes in a fast‑paced environment.

This is a temp-to-hire position, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

  • Schedule interviews, onboarding activities, and other candidate touchpoints across multiple teams and time zones.
  • Keep candidate records, statuses, and documentation accurate and up to date in recruiting and operational systems.
  • Follow up with candidates throughout the recruiting process to help keep applications moving forward.
  • Assist with veterinarian onboarding by collecting required documents, licensing information, contracts, and other pre‑activation requirements.
  • Work closely with the Talent Operations Specialist and internal teams to help answer candidate questions and provide support throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
  • Assist with recruiting outreach and sourcing efforts to support veterinarian hiring needs across different states.
  • Help with recruiting and onboarding projects and process improvements as needed.
  • Support tracking and reporting of recruiting and onboarding metrics.
  • Assist with additional Talent Operations projects that support the growth of Dutch’s veterinary network.
  • Take on additional projects and operational initiatives that support the growth of Dutch’s veterinary network.

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and workflows simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong comfort with technology and the ability to quickly learn and navigate new systems and tools
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS), CRM platforms, scheduling tools, or other recruiting/operations software
  • Comfortable working cross‑functionally and collaborating with teams across a growing organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Interest in shaping the future of veterinary telemedicine and working within evolving telehealth regulations to expand access
Bonus Points
  • Experience with recruiting in a startup or high‑growth environment
  • Veterinary industry experience a plus

Work Location
  • Hybrid Preferred: Candidates located in the Bay Area (CA, U.S) will have a hybrid schedule with office flexibility. This is our preferred setup.
  • Remote Flexibility: Considered only for exceptional candidates with relevant experience and skills. Remote work is only available in the following U.S. states: California, New Jersey, Washington, Tennessee, Iowa, Florida, Colorado, Oregon, Texas, North Carolina, and New York
  • Remote team members must be able to work hours that align with Dutch’s HQ team in Pacific Time to ensure collaboration and overlap
Our Guiding Principles
  • Pets First - business and medical decisions are always guided by the pet’s best interest. We’ll never compromise on pet health and we’re all here because we care about their well‑being.
  • Agile Like a Cat - We have a bias toward swift action, while maintaining quality and accuracy. For us, that means being able to turn on a dime, like a cat, analyze our options - even ones that may not be on the table - then execute without perfection getting in the way.
  • Creativity is our Catnip - Creativity feeds us and helps us push boundaries to always find better solutions, making the complex more accessible and easier to understand.
  • Be the Human Your Dog Thinks You Are - Be kind, show care for your colleagues, and even if you’re an expert - give others context, reinforce the positive, and help them understand.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
